Will’s first year playing tackle football was a learning experience. He was picked by the Varsity Gold team because of his size and athleticism. Training as defensive end, line backer and tight end he got to see both sides of the ball. We finished the season with a tournament in Tennessee with Will getting his first receptions and touchdown.
We found a hurt hummingbird lying helpless on our back patio. We brought her indoors, named her Bonnie, fed her sugar water, soothed her and took her to the animal rescue in Lisle. Sadly she died 2 days later from a broken spine.
Bill, Mike, Brad, Alberto, Will and Joey went up to Lake Geneva to get some turns in before the end of the season. Will and Joey surfed while Brad barefooted and Bill surfed, wakeboarded and “tried” hydrofoiling.
Merce, Will, Chace and I went on our first snowmobile trip on the trails in Southern Wisconsin.
The Vala’s annual costume party for kids and adults. We invited friends, from high school, friends from the city, new friends, old friends and even friends of friends. Seeing adults dressed up in costume and makeup is a real hoot!
